the weekend

this weekend was amazing. seriously amazing, it was so fun.

me and doug and dan rocked out the sand dunes, my favorite place in the WHOLE world.
i can't really explain how much i love the place without sounding like a freak, so i'll just do a little recap for anyone who wants to read it...

*swam in the ocean-like waves of lake michigan every day <-- this may have been the most fun thing, because the waves were huge and they just knocked you over

*made campfires

*listened to hours and hours of linkin park, courtesy of the drunk people camped next to us

*made s'mores

*rented a paddle boat on silver lake on a windy day and made it about 80 ft in an hour (three people on a two person paddleboat + waves = good times!!)

*smoked bowls

*explored the walking dunes and watched the ORVs dominate the dunes for a while

*GO-KARTING!!!

*mini-golf

*ice cream EVERY day

*talked to the campground owner for a while and listened to his stories from back in the day when the hippie-colony-esque campground used to have sweet concerts

*rode the mac woods dune rides and listened while a little girl probably pissed her pants


thats most of it, anyway. it probably sounds like a pretty boring, grandma and grandpa like camping trip to most of the hardcore people that read this, but thats sort of what i'm into, so it was great

then i came home to find out that i get to start working full-time again.
home rocks.
